no service in jailbreak ios 7
Some people have experienced a problem with their signal disappearing after jailbreaking and unlocking their iPhones, and the message “No Service” being displayed in their status bar. Sometimes it is just because you are in an area with a weak or non-existent signal but, for most there doesn’t seem to be a reason for it. Here are a few ways to fix this problem and regain the use of your expensive device.
- Try launching the Settings app on your home screen and toggling Airplane Mode between on and off. This has the effect of forcing the device to look for a network to join and should bring your signal back.
- Sounds simple but, just switch your phone off and then on again. Sometimes all it needs a bit of a reset to restore the settings.
- Reset your network settings – open Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. This resets everything back to normal although you will have to input your passcode and all of your Wi-Fi settings again.
- Failing this, as a last resort, head over to iTunes and completely Restore your device. Don’t forget to do a backup first and, if your device is jailbroken you will need to jailbreak it again afterwards. Be careful not to update your firmware to iOS 7.0.4 if you can help it as A5 and above devices cannot be jailbroken on this firmware.
The worst problems are on devices running iOS 7.0.4 that are trying to switch between LTE and the 3 or 4G network. Some have reported that a completely new SIM card has cured their problem so this might be worth thinking about as well.
